The auctions of El Castillo de Chapultepec are periodic contemporary art auctions envisioned as a financial model for a local artistic community. The scheme aims to ensure a fair distribution of resources, to explore other mechanisms of collaboration, and to promote a dialogue around the commercialization of art. The money collected from sales is used to compensate the artists’ work, to support the establishment of the lil solidarity bank for artists, and to continue with the development process of El Castillo de Chapultepec, a nonprofit institution.
